What is ONE Youth?
ONE Youth is the youth ministry of Faith Christian Church, designed specifically for high school students. We meet every Friday night during the school term from 7:00pm to 9:30pm. For Grades 7-12.

Our heart is to create a safe, fun, and inclusive environment where young people can build lasting friendships, explore their faith, and grow in their relationship with God. Whether your teenager believes in Jesus or is simply curious about faith, everyone is welcome to be part of the ONE Youth community.

What We Believe
At ONE Youth, our foundation is built on the teachings of the Bible. We believe:
-
The Bible is God’s Word—it is accurate, trustworthy, and relevant to everyday life.
-
There is one eternal God, the Creator of all things, who exists in three Persons:
God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. -
God is completely loving and absolutely holy, and He desires a personal relationship with every individual.
-
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life.
-
We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the ‘new birth’ we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.
SAFETY
At One Youth Vic we take your child’s safety very seriously. You can be certain that your teenagers are in safe hands and in a safe environment at our program. One Youth has a zero tolerance bullying policy and are committed to ensuring that your young people feel safe, seen, known, loved and empowered.
Young people are to be supervised at all times by our approved adult leaders. Our team of leaders and volunteers who are over the age of 18 all have a current working with children’s check as well as a police check. Our leaders also sign on to the behavioural standards and responsibilities of the ACC Child Safety Code of Conduct, and they attend compulsory regular training and education on child safety. Our leaders will visually identify themselves by wearing a lanyard to ensure only those approved have contact with the young people.
We currently have a 1 leader- 8 teenager ratio and can confidently assure you that while your teenager is in our care they will be looked after and have a great night building friendships and growing in their walk with God.
We keep the names of all the teenagers who attend our program on a database and use this as a role system.
This is so we know who we have in our care on any given night. If it is your child’s first time attending our program, they will fill out a ‘New Person’ form and will be added to our role. This helps to effectively maintain a safe and secure environment.

Faith Christian Church and its departments (including One Youth) subscribes to the ACC safe churches policy and has implemented the "SAFE CHURCHES" training in all volunteer teams. If you would like to know more about our child protection policy, the processes we take to maintain a safe environment, or our polices that outline the actions we take in the event of an incident, please see our Child Safety Policy and Child Safety Code of Conduct attached below as well as the ACC Safer Churches website.
